• West Central Michigan Media Ministries continues its expansion in Northern Michigan with the purchase of non-commercial classic country WKKM FM 90.7 Harrison from The Country King for $10,000 pending FCC approval and closing.

The WKKM call sign for years resided on FM 92.1 in Harrison under owner David Carmine who eventually sold the station to Xavier University in the early 2000s - that frequency is currently licensed to Houghton Lake and owned by Coltrace Communications. Carmine returned to broadcast ownership by winning this frequency from the FCC in 2008 and quietly operated the station with a classic country format.

West Central Michigan Media Ministries operates religious outlet "Strong Tower Radio" WGCP-FM 91.9 Cadillac and is purchasing silent WIHC-FM 97.9 Newberry.

• MacDonald-Garber Broadcasting's Petoskey FM translator of WMKT AM 1270 Charlevoix has been granted a construction permit to change frequency from 92.1 to 91.7 as W219DR. Instead of rebroadcasting WMKT, the translator would instead rebroadcast religious non-commercial WTCK FM 90.9 Charlevoix.

In addition to the frequency change, the translator would change radiated power and move from south of Petoskey to west of the city.
