WDZH Tim Rainey, hired in mid-March as the Program Director for CBS Radio/Detroit's Contemporary Hits WDZH-FM 98.7 "AMP Radio", has started revamping the sound of the station, starting with a major tinkering of the lineup of personalities.

Gone from the station's web site are morning drive's Puddin's Playhouse and midday's Shay Shay - no replacements were listed yet. The Buck Head Show (3 - 7 p.m.) and Stylz (7 - 11 p.m.) remain in place.

Regular listeners have also reported a noticeable change in the station's playlist over the weekend. Hip-Hop and Rap selections appear to be playing much less often, replaced by more mainstream Pop.

In the latest age 6+ ratings for Detroit, AMP Radio trailed competitors Channel 95-5, 96.3 WDVD and Fresh 100.3 in both rating and total listeners.
