You know Charlie Langton from FOX 2 and from his new morning show on WXYT radio. Now the station is adding to the line up. A man who grew up listening to Detroit radio joins WXYT as its afternoon host. Doc Thompson's career has taken him to Cincinnati, West Virginia and now Michigan. (video)

Nik Thompson has been named the new permanent host of "Sunday Best," the popular traditional jazz program on WEMU (89.1-FM). Thompson has been serving as interim host of the show since longtime host Arwulf Arwulf stepped down in early February.
