Detroit News:

WXYZ-TV (Channel 7) and its viewers are losing yet another on-air personality to retirement. Reporter and fill-in anchor Val Clark, who has been at the local ABC affiliate for more than 30 years, announced she is retiring from the station this summer. Earlier this week, the Detroit City Council honored Clark for being tough but fair.

Tigers radio analyst Jim Price said he missed the team's just-concluded trip at the suggestion of owner Mike Ilitch, who was concerned the West Coast swing might tax Price's health.
