WADL-TV Ch. 38 Detroit dropping 'News at 9' collaboration
Adell Broadcasting's attempt to offer the Detroit market an alternative evening newscast at 9:00 p.m. on WADL-TV Ch. 38 is coming to a close and the station has will end its collaboration with The Oakland Press, The Macomb Daily, and The Daily Tribune which where helping provide content for the 30-minute weekday program.
WADL plans on adding new syndicated CBS programs including: "The Parkers," "One on One," and "Girlfriends".
"WADL is moving in a new direction, and the news programming will not be a part of its new format," says CEO Kevin Adell. "I want to personally thank everyone who helped us test the 'News@9' segment and also thank CBS Television for providing great programming that serves our market."
