WHFB AM Benton Harbor says farewell
News-talk WHFB AM 1060 Benton Harbor signed off at midnight today and it appears that the station has thrown in the towel on its operations permanently. The station was left as a stand-alone operation earlier this year when WHFB-FM 99.9 was sold. The station's web site, whfbam.com has also been turned off.
Ann Arbor's Michigan Radio switches up weekend programs
The University of Michigan's public radio outlets, WUOM-FM 91.7 Ann Arbor / WFUM-FM 91.1 Flint / WVGR-FM 104.1 Grand Rapids, will be featuring a new lineup of weekend shows starting tomorrow, June 2nd. New to the lineup are the TED Radio Hour, Ask Me Another, and The Dinner Party - what the station calls three promising new programs that they want their listeners to have a chance to hear.
The changes were made based on listener feedback, audience research, and the great response these shows have been receiving from podcast listeners across the country.
