Occasionally he finds it at a favorite Detroit haunt, taking a few moments to enjoy a cigar, or stays home with his fianceƩ and dog where he can disappear into his man cave to watch televised games. Mostly, he just wants to decompress. Mike Valenti, the opinionated, brash New Yorker and unabashed fan of his alma mater, Michigan State, is loud four hours a day, hosting the popular, caller-driven "Valenti and Foster Show" with News writer Terry Foster every afternoon on 97.1 The Ticket.

Detroit's ESPN 1090 adds local afternoon show

Birach Broadcasting's Sports WCAR AM 1090 Livonia/Detroit has added Damon 'The Dog' Perry to weekday afternoons from 3 - 5 p.m. Perry is a former sports talk host at WDFN AM 1130.
