WJR Detroit making changes to traffic coverage

  • Joel Alexander has exited as the longtime helicopter reporter/pilot for Cumulus' News-Talk WJR AM 760 Detroit. as the station changes up its traffic coverage. The station has reportedly grounded its use of "Jetcopter 760", which was actually a shared resource among several stations in town.

    The station has added more frequent reports throughout the day and hired Kevin O'Neill to provide updates weekdays from 4:00 - 10:00 p.m. weekdays and 10:00 a.m - 4:00 p.m. Saturdays. O'Neill had been working weekends at Classic Hits WOMC-FM 104.3 Also joining WJR for traffic reporting are Dana Clark, daughter of Val Clark (Ch. 7), mornings with middays being handled by longtime local jock Mark Micthell who was at WDRQ and WKQI as a DJ and image voice.
