Fine Tuning:
- Bob Simonson, veteran West Michigan DJ at stations such as WLHT, WBCT, and WCUZ, jumps back behind the microphone at Grand Valley State's Public/Oldies WGVU AM 1480 Kentwood and WGVS AM 850 Muskegon for weekday afternoons 2 - 6 p.m. WGVU AM Program Director Len O'Kelly, who had been hosting that airshift, has added teaching responsibilities at GVSU.
- Cumulus/Toledo has dropped the all-sports format on WLQR AM 1470 and placed a syndicated talk format on the station. The sports format can still be heard heard on WLQR-FM 106.5 in most of the Toledo area. AM 1470 will continue to carry some sports play-by-play, including broadcasts of Detroit Tigers baseball.
