- Morning man Bill Bailey adds programming responsibilities at Grand Valley State University's Public/Oldies WGVU/WGVS AM 1480/850 Allendale/Grand Rapids/Muskegon.
Bailey's extensive resume includes programming at Marconi winner WLHT-FM Grand Rapids as well as P.D. for WTRV and WFGR in Grand Rapids, WDRQ Detroit, WIZF Cincinnati, WKYS Washington, D.C., KSLQ St. Louis and KZBS Oklahoma City. His golden pipes have been behind the mic at WLHT, WDRQ, WNIC, WMXD and WLS Chicago.
Former WGVU-AM programmer Len O'Kelly is still with the University, but now as a full time instructor.
- Programmer Darrin Arriens, who in the past has worked in Michigan in Detroit, Grand Rapids and Lansing, has landed a new gig in Vero Beach, FL where he will program soft rock WGYL '93.7 The Breeze'.
- The FCC has proposed fines in the amount of $13,000 to J & J Broadcasting, owners of Pop WIMI-FM and Country WJMS-AM Ironwood. $10,000 is for missing quarterly issues reports for the past five quarters and another $3,000 was added due to antenna registration issues when J & J purchased the stations in 2010.
