WEMU has announced that David Fair has been named the station's news director. According to the announcement from the station, news director responsibilities were previously handled by Program Director Clark Smith, who remains in that position.

MLive.com:

A long-time meteorologist is no longer employed with NBC25 (WEYI). Mark Torregrossa confirmed Wednesday afternoon he is no longer with the television station. He said he couldn't comment on the matter at this time. NBC25 officials declined to comment and released a statement.

An Owosso-based owner of radio stations is buying Flint station Classic Rock WRSR 103.9 The Fox for $1.15 million. Eddie Esserman, owner of Potential Broadcasting LLC announced Tuesday that paperwork has been filed at the Federal Communications Commission for the sale of the station to Rod Krol, president of Krol Communications.
