Grand Rapids Press:

I started as a fill-in host in the summer of 2011 when WJRW-AM (1340) was going through some programming changes. Once the dust settled, WJRW-AM program director Josh Leng asked me if I wanted to host my own one-hour show.

Observer & Eccentric:

Plans by CBS Radio to consolidate its southeast Michigan operations in Southfield were music to the ears of most city council members, who Monday night approved an industrial development district and awarded a five-year personal property tax abatement to the company. The approvals pave the way for CBS to move its Farmington Hills, Ferndale and current Southfield operations into a building formerly occupied by Panasonic, in the American Center Drive area of northwest Southfield.

Fine Tuning:

  • Changed: The talk format of WSRT/WSRJ FM 106.7/105.5 Gaylord/Honor from talk to sports using ESPN Radio on September 1st.
  •  

  • Dropped: Secondary network 'TheCoolTV' by WSMH-TV Ch. 66 Flint on 66.2.
  •  

  • Added: A weekday Big Ten football radio program from FOX Sports Radio and the Big Ten Network from 7 - 8 p.m. on WDFN AM 1130 Detroit.
  •  

  • Launched: NBC Sports Radio, heard on 178 station across the country at launch, but only one in Michigan has signed on so far. Rock WMRR-FM 101.7 Muskegon is listed as carrying only sports update products from the new network.
  •  

  • Hired: Former Northern Michigan (Northern Star Broadcasting) and Tri-Cities (Citadel) radio executive Chris Monk by media company Alliance 180, LLC.
