Frankie Darcell is returning to Mix 92.3 (WMXD-FM). She will be afternoon host of the Clear Channel station from 3 to 7 p.m. beginning March 4, via simulcast from Philadelphia where she is based.

Tigers fans craving baseball will have no shortage of opportunities to catch a game this spring. The Tigers announced Wednesday that 35 of the 36 spring training games will be called on WXYT by Dan Dickerson and Jim Price, with the lone exception being the road portion of a split-squad game against the Yankees on March 2.

Detroit Free Press:

Frankie Darcell is returning to WMXD-FM (92.3) next month, reps from Clear Channel Radio Detroit confirmed today. The popular radio personality was unexpectedly let go from her long-running "Afternoon Mix" radio show two months ago. But when Darcell returns to the Detroit airwaves on March 4, she'll also be working as the afternoon-drive host on Philadelphia's WDAS-FM.

A two-car accident did extensive damage to the AM 1700 storefront at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to Lt. Mike Kouba of the Ypsilanti Fire Department. "The whole storefront is gone--it's pretty intense," said Brian Robb, a city council member and operator of the station."
