Oakland University's student-run radio station WXOU-FM has made it to the top 10 finalists for an mtvU College Radio Woodie Award. This is the first year that station, which can be found at 88.3 FM, has been nominated, and it needs votes to take home the award ... Michigan State's WDBM-FM is also in the top 10 to receive a Woodie Award.

WEYI NBC 25, along with WBSF CW 46, will be changing hands, as Sinclair Broadcast Group announced yesterday that it has purchased Barrington Broadcasting Group for $370 million, pending closing conditions.
Fans of sports-talk station WTKA's locally produced "Ann Arbor's Big Show" may have been dismayed Monday to find out it had been replaced by "The Huge Show," a program that originates in west Michigan.

Come Monday afternoon, Lansing sports talk radio listeners will have a choice to make: "The Huge Show" or "The Drive with Jack Ebling". Lansing's The Game 730 AM (WVFN) will now broadcast The Drive with Jack Ebling from 3-6 p.m beginning Monday, March 4.
