- CBS/Detroit Country WYCD-FM 99.5 has announced the lineup for the 31st Annual Downtown Hoedown, set for May 31 and June 1 - 2 on the grounds surrounding Comerica Park in Detroit. Headlining the more than 40 acts that are planned are Joe Nichols, Jake Owen, and Uncle Kracker. Windsor Star:
There's no word on when and if they will resurface on the airwaves, but former 89X radio hosts Dave and Chuck "the Freak" are about to return as stars of a video game. Featuring Vanilla Rice, an evil Detroit mayor and flying penises, the game is true to the colourful and often off-colour style of the pair who hosted a morning show on the Windsor-based alternative rock station for more than 10 years before their abrupt departure in November.
