WYCD-FM's Downtown Hoedown is still a month away, but it's offering a preview of this year's festival Friday, May 3 -- for a good cause. The country music station has joined forces with Quicken Loans and Defeat The Label, a national anti-bullying organization, to present a special Stand4Change Day concert from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at Campus Martius Park in downtown Detroit.

CLEAR CHANNEL MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT/DETROIT has tapped AARON KLAUBER as Dir./Marketing and Promotions, effective immediately. KLAUBER will oversee all marketing and promotions for DETROIT's six stations. He joins from CCM+E/Dayton, where he has spent the last 13 years in a variety of roles including marketing, promotions and on-air.

- Scripps Broadcasting ABC affiliate WXYZ-TV Ch. 7 Detroit has named Michigan native Fred Corbus as the station's new Director of Sales. He'll take the job on May 6th and is moving to WXYZ from West Michigan where he held the same role at LIN TV's WOOD-TV / WOTV-TV and WXSP-TV Grand Rapids.
Corbus' appointment fills the vacancy created last year when Mike Murri was elevated from Director of Sales to Station Manager at WXYZ.
