Detroit Free Press:

After nearly six months of radio silence, Dave Hunter, Charles (Chuck the Freak) Urquhart and Lisa Way know they won't have any problem finding things to talk about when they make their WRIF-FM (101.1) morning-show debut Tuesday. But it might be another thing altogether finding the right knobs to turn and switches to flip so their buzzed-about "Dave and Chuck the Freak" show is heard by anyone outside their new studio.

Fine Tuning:

  • FOX TV owned WJBK-TV Ch. 2 Detroit has added its first digital subchannel. WJBK 2-2 is currently airing a promo loop for "Movies!", a new digital multicast television network that is co-owned by FOX and Weigel Broadcasting, that is set to debut regular programming at 8 a.m. tomorrow, May 27th.

    Movies! will air "a variety of theatrical motion pictures in a new, viewer and advertiser friendly format, not seen on broadcast television to date", according to the new service. Programming will be broadcast in 16:9 widescreen format.
