Radio was WGVU-AM personality Bill Bailey's first passion. Golf was his second. WGVU-AM's "Real Oldies" program director and morning on-air host died in the pursuit of both.

USA Today:

Gannett Co., the diversified media company that owns USA TODAY and TV stations, said Thursday it will buy competitor Belo Corp. for $2.2 billion in a deal that will make Gannett the fourth largest owner of major network affiliates in the U.S., reaching nearly a third of U.S. households.

In Michigan, Gannett owns ABC affiliate WZZM-TV Ch. 13 Grand Rapids and a number of newspapers including the Detroit Free Press, Lansing State Journal and Battle Creek Enquirer.

A lawsuit filed by SETH EPSTEIN and PEACOCK PROPERTIES INVESTMENTS, INC. against CUMULUS MEDIA, INC. (CITADEL BROADCASTING CO.) has been moved from a MICHIGAN state court to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of MICHIGAN, LANSING Division.
