Fine Tuning:

  • Steve Kostan exits Greater Media Classic Rock WCSX-FM 94.7 Detroit where he had been the station's evening host.

    Kostan has been a fixture in Detroit rock radio since 1977, having spent time behind the mic at WABX, W4, WRIF, and finally at WCSX in a career that has lasted over 36 years.

    He was inducted in to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011.

Steve Kostan, longtime WCSX-FM (94.7) on-air personality, says he was told Monday that his contract with the Greater Media-owned station, which expires Oct. 1, would not be renewed.
