WNEM-TV Ch. 5 Bay City/Saginaw:

TV5 is deeply saddened to report the passing of a member of our family. A family member has confirmed that former TV5 Reporter-Anchor Brian Wood died on Thanksgiving Day. He collapsed at his home and was rushed to Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw where he died. Brian recently retired after 27 years of service to TV5 News and the Mid-Michigan community.

Ann Arbor News:

Only time will tell how much Frank Beckmann will miss doing the only thing he grew up wanting to do. For 33 seasons, Beckmann has been the radio voice of University of Michigan Football. But Saturday, when the Wolverines take on Ohio State in Michigan Stadium, will be his last time in that role.

Fine Tuning:

  • All-Christmas returned to radio in the Eastern Upper Peninsula with the with the annual flip of Oldies WNBY-FM 93.9 Newberry earlier this week. The station has been making the switch for several years near Thanksgiving for the holiday season.
