  • Funeral services for former Michigan Association of Broadcasters staff member Larry Estlack will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, 325 W Washtenaw St, Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

  • More from the home town of the Eskymos: Cadillac-based Strong Tower Radio is making final preparations to sign on on a new station in Escanaba. WUPJ FM 90.9 will operate with 100,000 watts carrying religious programming. Strong Tower Radio is also raising funds to finalize the purchase of the currently silent WAVC FM 93.9 Mio.
