Gregory Kelser, lead television analyst for the Detroit Pistons, quoted Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during his keynote speech at the eighth annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Mentoring Inspiration Breakfast Monday morning. - Clear Channel's previously silent WDTW AM 1310 Detroit returned to the air late last week with Special Temporary Authority from the FCC and has been simulcasting Clear Channel's Classic Rock WDTW-FM 106.7.
The station is operating with 900 watts with a longwire antenna from the site near I-94 and Telegraph Rd where the station's towers stood until last winter when the were removed. The station's license is in the process of being transferred (donated) by Clear Channel to MMTC (Minority Media & Telecom Council) which finds new minority or non-profit broadcasters to take the licenses.
