Fine Tuning:

  • Launched: 'Nash Icon', a Classic Country based format by Cumulus Media in the Grand Rapids and Detroit markets in Michigan. WLAW-FM 92.5 is the home of the format in West Michigan, replacing Outlaw Country. In Detroit, the format appears on the digital subchannel of WDRQ-FM 93.1 HD2, displacing the Top 40 sound of the old WDRQ.
  •

  • Farewell and goodbye: Chuck Gaidica called it a career as a weathercaster for NBC affiliate WDIV-TV Ch. 4 Detroit yesterday; he'll still be seen on WDIV during special events such as the Thanksgiving Day parade and July 4th fireworks. ClickOnDetroit.com, the station's web site, has a special section recapping his career and highlighting good wishes from co-workers, politicians, and others: Good Luck Chuck.
