Fox Sports Detroit is contemplating moving to a three-man broadcast booth for Tigers games starting in 2015, The News has learned. Nothing has been decided, and Greg Hammaren, vice president and general manager for FSD, declined to comment on such speculation.

Sinclair Communications-owned CBS affiliate WWMT Kalamazoo, Mich. (DMA 39), is introducing a local talk show on its CW7 subchannel. The Lori Moore Show starring long-time Kalamazoo radio personality Lori Moore. The Lori Moore Show will start on Monday, Sept. 8, and air every weekday at 4 p.m. This half-hour talk show will feature community leaders and events.

The No. 2-ranked Grand Valley State football team opened the season Thursday night at Azusa Pacific in California. Dick Nelson, the play-by-play voice of GVSU football for 37 years, was not part of the broadcast, as he has decided to retire.

When Grand Rapids ABC affiliate WZZM announced the launch of a 5 p.m. newscast in August, Nick LaFave was named co-anchor. This week, the station has begun introducing LaFave to viewers with a series of promos and appearances on WZZM. LaFave makes his co-anchoring debut September 8, when the new early evening newscast launches

- Former Detroit Tigers pitcher Jack Morris will join Fox Sports Detroit's Mario Impemba and Rod Allen in the broadcast booth for 6 Tigers games starting Monday, September 8th. Morris is normally a commentator for Minnesota Twins broadcasts on Fox Sports North.
