Bill Bonds, longtime Detroit TV anchor, dies at age 82

Bill Bonds, one of Detroit's most iconic media personalities, passed away earlier today at the age of 82 after suffering an apparent heart attack. Bonds broke through on the radio in his hometown of Detroit, later moving to television where he was best known as the no-nonsense lead anchor at WXYZ-TV Ch. 7. His influence on local television news can not be overstated.
