MI News 26 Brings Back Classic Shows With "Antenna TV 26

Classic TV shows like "Dennis the Menace," "Bewitched," "Leave it to Beaver" and "WKRP in Cincinnati" are back over-the-air in northern Michigan with the launch of Antenna TV 26.

The new subchannel, broadcast by MI News 26, northern Michigan's 24/7 local news channel, is available in much the same way its shows were originally seen - using an outdoor antenna or a pair of amplified rabbit ears. Viewers in Wexford, Missaukee and Osceola counties can pick up the station on antenna channel 26.2 to relive some of the classic programming seen in the 1960s, 70s, and 80s.

"I'm excited to be bringing classic shows like 'I dream of Jeannie' to northern Michigan," explained MI News 26 Station Manager Morris Langworthy, "I'm also eager to check out some of the classic shows that I've never been able to see through this new channel."

In addition to broadcasting on antenna, Antenna TV 26 is available to Summit Digital cable subscribers in the McBain area on channel 22, or in the LeRoy area on channel 21. Charter subscribers can call 888-GET-CHARTER to request the channel be added to their lineup.

Antenna TV 26 is the latest addition to MI News 26's over-the-air lineup, which now includes 24/7 local news on channel 26.1, Antenna TV 26 on channel 26.2, movies around the clock on channel 26.3, and QVC on channel 26.4. A complete program schedule is available on the station's web site, MINews26.com.
