Thank you - and farewell

Michiguide.com will no longer be updated or maintained on a regular basis. The site will remain essentially static for an undetermined amount of time as a resource, albeit a very admittedly outdated one.

The primary reason for this decision is that my interests have shifted since this site was started in 1997. Instead of enjoying the time spent to maintain it, updating Michiguide has become as much of a drudgery for me as it has for readers that now choose to get their information from social media.

Thank you for all the clicks and support over the years.

Grand Rapids Press:

Matt Steigenga won't pretend to hide his excitement over Michigan State's Final Four appearance, even under the veil of a radio analyst. "I love what I do when I'm calling a game and I enjoy it so much, but I'm so wrapped into it," the Grand Rapids native Steigenga said with a laugh. "If you look at the lower portion of the television screen, you'll see that's me jumping up and down at a big shot."
