• 8/2009: Packer Radio acquires FM translator W279AP 103.7 from Horizon Christian Fellowship to use for an FM signal of WION AM in Ionia. The acquisition is approved in October, 2009 by the FCC and eventually moves to FM 92.7 as W224BZ.
• 10/2008: Announced that Packer Radio Greenville is acquiring WSCG-FM/AM 106.3/1380 Lakeview/Greenville from Stafford Broadcasting; sale was approved and closed in December 2008.
• 2004: Purchase of WION falls through due to cross-ownership issues with Stafford's newspaper operations.
• 8/2003: Deal for Stafford Broadcasting to purchase WION-AM 1430 Ionia from Agricultural Resource Group for $100,000 is reached, pending FCC approval.
