• 2/2010: Announced that 11 of Northern Star Broadcasting's Upper Peninsula radio stations are being sold to Sault Ste. Marie based Sovereign Communications for $3.5 million dollars. The stations involved include: WYSS-FM, WMKD-FM, WKNW AM in the Eastern U.P.; WJPD-FM, WUPK-FM, WNGE-FM, WDMJ AM, and WIAN AM in Marquette; WIMK-FM, WZNL-FM and WMIQ AM in Iron Mountain. FCC approved sale in May, 2010.
• 4/2006: WNBY-FM changes frequency from 93.7 to 93.9
• 12/2003: FCC approves sale of Sault Ste Marie stations from Fabiano-Stricker to Sovereign.
• 11/2003: Fabiano-Stricker Communications sells WSUE-FM 101.3 / WSOO-AM 1230 Sault Ste Marie to Sovereign.
• 8/2003: FCC approves sale of Newberry stations from F&W to Sovereign.
• 5/2003: F&W Broadcasting sells WNBY-FM/AM 93.7/1450 Newberry to Sovereign Communications for $400,000.
