- 8/2007: WEJC 88.3 White Star is granted a construction permit to move closer to the Tri-Cities area (Bay City/Saginaw/Midland), changing its transmitter location from Gladwin county to Bay county.

- 9/8/2004: The non-profit organizations founded by Edward and Jennifer Czelada changed their names- Smile FM was Superior Communications Network, Smile FM of Harrisville was Northland Community Radio, Smile FM of Imlay City was Michigan Community Radio.
- 6/2004: Two separate formats of Joy FM and The Light are brought together as one 'Smile FM'. The same programming is carried on all the non-commerical stations with local inserts.
