  • 6/2008: Announced that Great Lakes Commmunity Broadcasting is donating WAAQ FM 88.3 Onsted, WJKQ FM 88.5 Jackson, WJCQ FM 89.7 Jackson, WQLO FM 89.7 Lake Odessa, and W209BR 89.7 Columbia Township to Society for Accurate Information and Distribution Foundation for no financial consideration pending FCC approvals and closing.

  • 3/2008: MacDonald Garber Broadcasting is purchasing the construction permit for W221BQ 92.1 Petoskey from Great Lakes Community Broadcasting for $1,500 pending FCC approval and closing. The FCC approves the sale in May, 2008.

  • 6/2006: Edgewater Broadcasting is purchasing the construction permit for WKHN FM 88.1 Hubbard Lake from Great Lakes Community Broadcasting for $35,000 pending FCC approval and closing.

  • 4/2006: Edgewater agrees to purchase a construction permit for FM 89.7 Lake Odessa for $25,000 plus FM translator W206AZ 89.1 Fremont for $11,000 from Great Lakes Community Broadcasting. As part of the deal, the construction permit for FM translator W262AW St. Johns will move from Edgewater to GLCB. As of 2/2008 it appears this deal never transpired.

  • 8/2005: FCC approves transfer of W221BQ and W227AT

  • 7/2005: Application filed to assign W221BQ 92.1 Petoskey and W227AT 93.3 Manistee to Great Lakes Community Broadcasting from Radio Assist Ministry. No finacial consideration was involved.

  • 3/2005: Reported that W209BR 89.7 Columbia Township has been silent for some time. Likely went off the air as another Great Lakes Community Broadcasting/Great Lakes Broadcasting station went on the air in at 89.7 Jackson County, WJCQ. WJCQ is reported to run similar programming as WAAQ, but not a simulcast.

  • 4/2004: License to cover granted for W220CW 91.9 to increase power to 100 watts from 10
