Notes/History:

  • 2/2008: FCC gives special temporary authority for FM translator 107.7 W299BE Big Rapids to rebroadcast WBRN AM. WBRN becomes the first AM station in Michigan to have an approved FM translator.
  • 4/2005: FCC approves sale of stations
  • 3/1/2005: WBRN-AM 1460 and WBRN-FM 100.9 are sold by RH Communications to Mentor Partners for $850,000 pending FCC approval. Mentor takes over operations of both WBRN-FM and AM under a local marketing agreement. Mentor also owns/operates WYBR-FM 102.3 Big Rapids.
  • At one time WBRN broadcast in AM stereo but it was dropped.
