  • 2006: WHTC once again becomes an affiliate for Detroit Tigers baseball.
  • 2004: Station drops affiliation with Detroit Tigers baseball. This will be the first season for the station without the Tigers since its sign-on in 1948.
  • 2000: FCC approves sale
  • 6/2000: Announced that station is to be sold to Midwest Communications from Holland Communications
  • 1994: WHTC-FM is sold to Federated Communications
  • 1981: Michael Walton purchases WHTC and WHTC-FM 96.1.
