Notes/History:

• 6/25/2005: Format changes from R&B oldies/adult urban contemporary to urban/hip-hop as the format, formerly known as 105-9 Jamz, moves to FM 102.7 from FM 105.9 with the arrival of the Tom Joyner morning show on Kiss FM. The WDMK calls also move to FM 105.9 and FM 102.7 becomes WHTD to match it's new 'Hot 102.7' moniker.
• 10/2002: Format shifts from UAC to old school rhythm & blues, again maintaining the Kiss FM name.
• 8/27/1999: Mainstream adult contemporary format is dropped for adult urban contemporary, still branded as Kiss FM.
• 3/31/1999: Call sign changed to WDMK after negotiations failed to secure the station's first choice, WKSK-FM.
• 1/16/1999: At 6:33pm, the format 'Classic Rock that Really Rocks' was silenced and the station went off the air. The final song played was "When the Music's Over" by The Doors (the same song that ended the progressive rock format at what was WABX FM 99.5 years earlier). At 6:52pm, the station signed back on as '102.7 FM Kiss-FM'- an adult contemporary/soft rock station.
• 1/1999: Station is sold by Allur Detroit to Radio One
• 1998: Format change to 'Classic Rock that Really Rocks', still as 'The Bear'.
• 1996: Call sign change to WWBR as 'The Bear' after the ABC network drops the Z-Rock format. Format remains hard rock, but programming becomes local featuring new morning host musician/hunter Ted Nugent.
• 3/12/1992: Call sign change to WDZR 'Z-Rock' part of national satellite-fed heavy metal format.
• 4/1991: Call sign change to WXCD 'CD-102' to go with new age/jazz format
• 11/1984: Call sign change to WKSG 'Kiss-FM' to go with format change to oldies.
• 8/1984: Format change to contemporary hits.
