- 12/27/2010: Christmas format is replaced by classic hits 'Lansing's Greatest Hits' as that format moves from sister station WQTX FM 92.1.
- 11/15/2010: Smooth jazz format is changed to Christmas; its uncertain if smooth jazz will return following the holidays. Call sign was changed from WJZL (Smooth Jazz Lansing) to WLMI in October.
- 2/2010: Rubber City Radio Group agrees to sell 4 FM stations in the Lansing/Jackson area (92.1, 92.9, 94.1, and 106.1) to Midwest Communications for $4.1 million pending FCC approval and closing. FCC approves sale in May, 2010.
- 1/2008: License to cover granted for changes in location, effective radiated power, and community of license. Station's new frequency and location gives it strong coverage throughout Lansing and improved reception as far away as Jackson, Howell, and Hastings.
- 12/2006: Construction permit modified to specify 5,400 watts @ 344 feet
- 10/27/2006: Operations cease on FM 92.7 and begin on FM 92.9 at low power while final construction is completed on new facilities
- 1/2006: Construction permit granted to change station's community of license from Charlotte to Grand Ledge, change frequency from 92.7 to 92.9, change ERP from 1,500 watts @ 466 feet to 4,600 @ 374 feet, and change tower location from southwest of Lansing to downtown Lansing.
- 10/3/2005: Format change from Sports "The Ticket" to Smooth Jazz. Simulcast on FM 92.1 ends as sports format remains on that frequency.
- 2005: Proposal for move to Grand Ledge and frequency change to 92.9 is approved by the FCC. Station still must apply
for and complete a construction permit.
- 7/14/2004: WKMY-FM 92.1 St. Johns changes format from Hot Adult Contemporary to a simulcast of Sports WQTX-FM 92.7
- 10/2003: Station applies to move to Grand Ledge, change frequency to 92.9, and increase power
- 3/27/2001: Legendary call sign WVIC moves to FM 94.1, new sign is WQTX
- 2/15/2001: FCC approves sale from BB Broadcasting
- 1/2000: Announced that station will be Lansing area affiliate for Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Tigers, and Detroit Lions play-by-play
- 12/26/2000: Simulcast ends, station begins airing sports programming as 92.7 The Ticket with Fox Sport Radio
- 12/11/2000: Station returns to the air simulcasting Modern Rock WWDX-FM 92.1 St. Johns

- 6/1/1997: WVIC FM 94.9 and WMMQ 92.7 switch programming and call signs. WMMQ's Classic Rock format moves to 94.9 and retains the Tim & Deb morning show. WVIC 92.7 goes silent.
- 1997: MSP Communications sells station to BB Broadcasting; station enters into Local Marketing Agreement with Liggett Broadcast (new owners of WITL-FM, WVFN-AM, WVIC-FM 94.9).
- 1995: Station purchased by MSP Communications
- 10/1/1982: Format change to Classic Rock- the first station in the USA with this 'new' format.
