Notes/History:
- 2006: WOAS launches live webcasts
- 1997-2000: Station facilities and equipment were remodeled from with grants from the Ontonagon Area Schools Board of Education, Upper Peninsula Power Co (UPPCO) and labor and funds from the citizen's of Ontonagon County.
- 1978: Station was built under the direction of Ontonagon Schools District Librarian Thomas Graham Lee with grants and volunteer labor. It was later operated by the Community School's program until the funding ran out and the CS director moved on.
