7/2008: Construction permit granted to change from a Class A station operating with 6,000 watts @ 157 feet to Class C2 which would broadcast with 24,500 watts @ 713 feet. The station's transmitter would also move from just east of Manistique to the west near the border of Schoolcraft and Delta counties. Coverage area of WPIQ would be greatly increased.

9/2007: Construction permit granted to change frequency from 99.9 to 92.7 with a slight change in the station's height above average terrain (151 to 157 feet).

9/2003: Construction permit modified to change HAAT from 171 feet to 151 feet, slight location change from WTIQ-AM 1490 tower in Manistique to just northeast of Manistique
