  • 1/2010: Goodrich Radio, LLC is purchasing FM translator W237CZ 95.3 Hudsonville from Horizon Christian Fellowship for $79,000 pending FCC approval and closing. Goodrich plans on rebroadcasting its talk WPRR AM 1680 Ada/Grand Rapids on the translator; a construction permit has been granted to increase power to 250 watts; FCC approves sale in February, 2010. License to cover power increase to 250 watts from 55 is granted in March, 2010.
  • 9/22/2008: Public Reality Radio talk format is launched after weeks of airing either a continuous loop of announcements and previews of the new format.
  • 8/2008: Radio Disney programming ends after Disney chose not to continue funding with about five or six affiliates of which one was WDSS. Owner Robert Goodrich announced plans to launch WPRR as a non-profit operating entity, programming on an educational basis.
  • 2/2008: License granted after operating since 1998 with special temporary authority from the FCC. WDSS is the expanded band counterpart of what was until recently WMHG AM 1600 Muskegon which went silent at the beginning of 2008. The FCC notes the approval of a settlement agreement between Clear Channel, Cumulus, Connoisseur Communications of Muskegon, and Goodrich Radio in the license grant. Goodrich Radio was the licensee of AM 1600 Muskegon and received the construction permit for the expanded band AM 1680. As stipulated in the grant of an expanded band station, the license for the original station was to be turned in once the expanded station became licensed. In 1999 however, Goodrich sold AM 1600 to Connoisseur which was later acquired by Cumulus. When Cumulus sold its four of its Muskegon stations to Clear Channel in 2001, AM 1600 remained under Cumulus ownership as owning AM 1600 would have put Clear Channel over ownership limits. Cumulus and Clear Channel then entered into a Local Marketing Agreement for WMHG which was in effect until the station was silenced.
  • 6/16/2003: ABC/Disney brokers station as it becomes Grand Rapids' affiliate for the children's targeted Radio Disney format
  • 6/2003: Mainstream urban format dropped in favor of Urban AC 'The Touch' as station prepares to become Radio Disney
  • October 1998: Urban format of WMHG-AM 1600 Muskegon was moved to WJNZ 1680 as 1680 Jamz. WMHG was later sold off.
