- 2/15/2008: Format change from Classic Hits WFAT to Country as Y 96.5 Kalamazoo Country at 5pm. Final song under rock-based format was "Happy Trails" by Van Halen and the first song with the new country format was "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere" by Alan Jackson. Bob & Tom remain in place for morning drive.

- 10/2001: Format change from Adult Contemporary to Classic Hits. Mornings remain syndicated- Bob & Tom replace Rick Dees
- 4/2000: Station repositions toward mainstream Adult Contemporary from Hot AC
- June 1992: Acquired by Tri-State Radio from Larry Langford- WUBU calls and Urban AC format move to 106.3 South Bend and FM 96.5 becomes WFAT.
- 2/28/1991: Station signs on as WUBU with Urban Adult Contemporary format, owned by Larry Langford who also owned 910 AM Cassopolis (which was WLLJ)
