  • 6/12/2009: Regular programming on analog channel 5 ends as the station moves to digital-only regular broadcasts on Channel 22. Through the use of PSIP, digital television receivers display WNEM's virtual channel as 5.

  • 9/2006: WNEM-TV becomes Flint/Tri-Cities affiliate for new network My Network TV which it airs on one of its digital companion channels

  • 1990's - early 2000's: Some programming from UPN and WB is offered overnights

  • 1/16/1995: WNEM changes its network affiliation to CBS from NBC. WEYI-TV Channel 25 picks up NBC programming

  • 1969: Meredith Corporation purchases WNEM from Gerity

  • 1958: When WJRT-TV 12 Flint signs on, it becomes the ABC affiliate and WNEM becomes an NBC-only affiliate
