- 11/2009: Construction permit granted for new digital facilities on Ch. 47. Ch. 50 translator will move to the former WPBN-TV transmitter location near Harrietta.
- 8/2009: WPBN petitions the FCC to change its primary DTV allotment to channel 47 from channel 7. If approved, the station would operate from Channel 50
from the Harietta location and Channel 47 from Kalkaska county. This proposal is approved in October, 2009.
- 8/2009: Construction permit granted for DTV translator on Ch. 50 to better serve Traverse City.
- 6/12/2009: WPBN ends analog broadcasting on channel 7 and switches to digital on Channel 7 from its main transmitter site near Harietta, MI. At that time, digital broadcasts ended on Ch. 50 from Traverse City. However, Ch. 50 was soon brought back on line as a translator for WPBN to give viewers in Traverse City better reception of the station.
- 3/2006: Announced that Raycom will be selling station to Barrington Broadcasting as part of a larger deal involving several other stations across the country.
